What is the damn point of keeping Scrabble off the internet when kids in this day and age are getting more IT savvy and spending more and more time on their computers?! On another note, Benedict, another young cuz of mine (he's 10), has made it to the Singapore Wushu National Youth Team!! WOOOT, GO BEN!

Well its cool, except for the fact that Ben doesn't even know a move of wushu at all.

Lol. REALLY!

As stunned as you are (I was stunned; are you are you?!), its no joke. Some kids are just so lucky that way; 'born' into Team Singapore with a road all cut out for them aye. Ben happened to take some physical test his school had and ta-da! got selected for that "nurturing future Team Singapore wushu ninjas" programme. They provide training and nurture you into a winning young champ. And along with that, Ben's been given the chance to heck the PSLE because he's been offered an education in Chung Cheng High or Hua Chong Intl(!). I guess thats where all these Wushu cool kids go for secondary education, them sports stars.

Ah wow. I say again, some kids are just so lucky that way.

Look out for my cuz Ben, our very next Vincent Ng! Mehehehehe :D

School's been a whirlwind.
Less than 1 month & a week from the end of TP Life. Sigh

Group went to Top Table for lunch this week! Yep, the one that was just featured on the chinese campus food programme variety show thingy thing. Very comfy and classy, plus you get to hear student cooks being yelled at as well. Lol! The food's darn worth it too. Really, I've to say its a pretty cool place to dine in school. (:

My weekend was magic, yes, again! :)))


CNY Baking!

Already! Haha, pretty early. My grandmother came over on Saturday to start on the cny almond cocoa cookies with mom, superrr yummy! I love these things you can press and create with moulds man.. we had stars and flowers and elephants and planes and bears and men and women. and I absolutely designed the men and women cookies to bits, heehee. Some with gowns, bikinis, boxers, others with abs, belly buttons and the coolest hairstyles. Ahh pity they were sent to the oven before I got good pics!




Anniversary Celebrations (cont'd) !!

So! Done with school for the week, Jared and I continued celebrations on Friday! Decided enough of thinking of somewhere nice to go dine, this time we'd cook ourselves our own anniversary meal instead. (: Went grocery shopping for good stuff, then back to the kitchen it was!

& today we headed to sunny Sentosa! Rain was off and on la actually, but ok thank goodness we got to sit on the Luge! it was SO FUN, my gosh! down and up and down and up and down we went on the cars thingy and the chairlift. wheee, it was pretty darn awesome yo! (:

Went for dinner by the beach before heading home. Trapizza's a great place to chill, enjoy the delicious thin-crusted pizzas, and watch the evening sun set in the distance.

YV met for dinner on Tuesday night! It's been long since our outings and meals of any sort, come to think of it, and I've really really missed it man. (: Well, we were celebrating the birthdays of Mark and Justin, and it was also Lionel's farewell before Tekong! Hahah. Good fun, good fun.

So there goes the first of my good buddies! No more 4am gossip sessions and yohoho piracy and snap-out-of-emo-ness-please talks and laughs. All too soon! Lionel says that he has "gone to become a man". Indeed he has..

The jolly season has officially ended, with a big bang weekend fer meeee! (:


FRIDAY!

RP is still on holidays so yay, Jared came down to TP on Friday! Had a spanking good meal at Mensa. Oh my their desserts there are actually quite yummy yknow, never realized before til that day! lol. I skipped accounting lect (ugh because accounts is so not a friday-kinda-subject luh :/ ) and we headed to the Library to chill and watch The Parent Trap.. adorable young innocent Lindsay Lohan then. aww!

Rushed home after, we were heading to catch Beauty World with my family! WOOOT, whataGreaaatshow :D I luvvve this kinda truly Singaporean shows and plays all man! they're amazingly unique. The dancing and singing and acting of the cast was darrrn good, cept the Project Superstar 2 winner who debuted in this show, I felt. His acting was super suave and all, really, but the singing.. ahh well it just didn't quite match up to the others. haha!

SATURDAY!

afternoon was spent at Orchard Hotel with Kris and Leanna, settling my university applications. man I've always read books about how these graduating high school kids dread filling up uni application forms so much, and now there I was writing and scribbling in the blanks and all. lol! sure was crowded there, a few familiar faces.

I went back down today as well to complete a few more applications.. and came to the realization that the girl who was handling my uni applications through IDP, turns out to be my first-person-I-talked-to-in-p1 friend Hui Tong's sister! LOL sucha small world I swear.

Anyway, fingers and toes and eyes all crossed now la, cos I heard entry requires at least a GPA of 3. Freak. It'll be so awesomely dejecting if all 5 I applied reject me man! ):

At night! Jared and I started our anniversary celebrations, woooot! He took me for dinner at some surprise location.. and it turned out to be the Alps Cafe! Its this quaint restaurant/bar place, very very cool, like literally. The ambiance was oh-so-perfect for our yummy quiet celebratory dinner. (:





Their mushroom soup was mmmm HEAVENNNN. sure goes on my list of Best mushroom soups I've tasted! Jared had this really spicy Vongole pasta and mine was Scallopine Pork, which was tasty with the lemons and all, not badddd.

And the bar had a pool table, so pool we played! I found this so apt, hahaha cos it was him who taught me how to play pool in 2004 and here we were playing it together on our 4th year. I'm not very good at it still, but heck, I think its sweeet! ♥

SUNDAY!

Seemed like a normal day to Dad. Us kids went for session in church, he went grocery shopping, came home and took a nap, then everyone adjourned back at home before we headed out for lunch.

But but BUT!

We had a surprise birthday planned for Daddy's 50th birthday!! :)))



And it was so coool! Haha I was half-worried things wouldn't turn out the way Mom and I planned, or that Dad was out of "deaf mode" and could hear all the plans we were talking about under his nose! But nahhhh, it all went well! The cupcakes were so pretty I swear, thanks to Cupcake Mommas. I've got so many leftover now! So many lovely people showed up to make everything so jolly and happy and fun. Plus the good food and wine all at Vines Restaurant, not to forget! Hehe.. Boy, Surprise Parties rock. ((:
